Clinical Director / Co-Owner
Dr. Bianca Fetherson is a licensed psychologist with the state of Maryland. She is the Clinical Director as well as a co-owner at Fetherson & Knight Psychological Services, LLC. She earned a Ph.D. in counseling psychology from Western Michigan University and completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System. She is a published author and her research interests includes multiculturally responsive training and clinical interventions. She applies a variety of empirically supported therapeutic techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), anxiety-management training (AMT), and acceptance-commitment therapy (ACT) to treat a wide array of emotional and behavioral problems to increase clients'valued living and quality of life. Most importantly, having unconditional positive regard and placing the problems and concerns of clients in a cultural context allows her to implement treatment from a holistic perspective while providing multiculturally responsive services.
